ANDREW Barr has announced a review into the ACT’s Water and Sewerage Pricing Framework. There is an Issues Paper to go with the review.
“The review, which will examine the current process for setting regulated water and sewerage prices in the ACT, is part of the Government’s response to the ACT Auditor-General’s Performance Audit Report, The Water and Sewerage Pricing Process (Report No. 2/2014),” Andrew said.
The review will be led by Mr Peter Grant PSM. Mr Grant has extensive experience in public policy development and policy analysis and review. He has previously served as Deputy Secretary and First Assistant Secretary, Economic and Policy Analysis in the Commonwealth Department of Employment, Education and Training.
Mr Grant has also been involved in a large number of independent reviews, including major reviews of Australian Government grant programs and Indigenous programs, a review of the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ National Education and Training Statistics Unit, and a review of the Job Seeker Compliance Framework.
“I am convinced that Mr Grant will bring a new and independent perspective in considering potential improvements of the pricing framework and will deliver recommendations for a flexible and responsive pricing structure for water and sewerage in the ACT.”
