Taxi driver robber at knifepoint in Fisher

ACT Policing is seeking assistance to identify a man in relation to a robbery which occurred in Weston Creek yesterday morning (Saturday, June 14).

About 4.20am, a taxi driver arrived at the Rivett shops to pick up a fare. The man was driven to an address in Fisher where he produced a knife and demanded money from the driver.

The driver handed over a small sum of cash and the offender left. The offender was last seen in Moura Place, Fisher.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, between 20-25 years of age, approximately 170cm (5’7”) tall, with a thin build and clean shaven. He was wearing a plain black zip-up hooded jacket, a blue or black coloured cap and long dark pants.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or any person who may have information in relation to the offenders identity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
