MAD skateboarders, or the parents of mad skateboarders, should be getting ready for the ACT qualifying stop of the 2014 Nike x SbA Am Titles which will be rolling into the Belconnen Skatepark on May 3.
Skateboarders should not miss this opportunity to claim the State championship title, prize money and an invitation to the Australian Championships.
With over $100,000 in cash, prizes and giveaways on offer and qualifying stops in every state and territory, the 2014 Nike x SbA Am Titles is the ultimate opportunity for Australia’s up and coming amateur skateboarders to make their mark. In 2014 the Oz Am Champ will win $10,000 cash and a return trip to the world’s highest profile Amateur skateboard contest – Tampa Am.
The Top 6 place-getters in the Open Division and the Top 3 Juniors in each State and Territory will qualify for the Championships to be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds on the 18th October. First-placed competitors in both divisions at the qualifiers win return airfares to compete at the final.
Registration for qualifying heats at the Belconnen Skatepark opens from 9am. Cut-off is 10.30am for Juniors and noon for Open Division. The park is located at Emu Bank in Belconnen, right next to Lake Ginninderra College.
