TOMORROW’S “Poetry at The Gods” at the Gods Cafe, ANU Arts Centre, will feature two poets from Perth and Hobart respectively, Lucy Dougan and Adrienne Eberhard.

Dougan’s books include “White Clay” (Giramondo) and “Meanderthals”  (Web del Sol); and her prizes The Mary Gilmore Award and The Alec Bolton Award. She works for the Westerly Centre at UWA and as poetry editor for the journal “Axon: Creative Explorations”.

Eberhard has been poetry editor of “Island” magazine. She lives at Tinderbox, Tasmania.  Her most recent collection is “This Woman” (Black Pepper, 2011).  She is currently working on a collection of poems about Marie Antoinette and her contemporary, Marie Girardin (who disguised herself as a man and sailed in Tasmanian waters in 1792/93 on d’Entrecasteaux’s expedition).  “This Woman” has recently been shortlisted for the Tasmanian Book Prize.
