More than one million people are expected to attend the 49 matches, which are being held in 14 locations across Australia and New Zealand over 44 days from February 14 to March 29, 2015.

At Manuka Oval, Bangladesh are up against Afghanistan on February 18, the West Indies will clash with Zimbabwe on February 24, and South Africa will play Ireland on March 3.

There are a wide range of volunteer positions available requiring various skills and experience. Applicants must be 18 years or older, and interviews will be held in May this year.

“We want volunteers to get the most out of their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 experience, and hopefully use it as a springboard for new opportunities – whether it’s volunteering in their local area or opening the door to a career,” says the local organising committee’s chief executive, John Harnden.
