AFTER playing to sold out crowds in 2009 and 2010, Everyman Theatre is bringing back one of Off-Broadway’s most successful musicals, The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), featuring the original Canberra cast. The plot combines five musicals, each written in the style of a different composer: Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Kander & Ebb. TOMORROW (Saturday, December 7), Lifeline Canberra and April’s Caravan are throwing a Merry Old Soul Christmas Party at the vintage clothing store, Hipsley, in Braddon from 10am to 4pm. There’ll be soul records spun by DJ Degg from 10:30am and live music by Fun Machine and Moochers Inc. from noon, with face painting, Santa photos and cocktails. There’ll be 20 per cent off all vintage clothes and proceeds go to training Lifeline Canberra’s telephone crisis support volunteers. At 2/27 Lonsdale Street, Braddon.
