THE Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation has announced the extension of its 2015 Awards round.

Since its establishment in 1983, CAPO has disbursed over 2 million dollars as arts fellowships and awards with support from the Canberra arts and local, national and international business communities. Past award winners include performing artists and companies, visual artists and arts organisations, contemporary craft artists, designer makers, filmmakers, new media artists and writers.
Applications are invited from artists and arts organisations from Canberra and the region, but the new Belconnen Arts Centre Inclusion Award has an Australia-wide coverage. Other new awards are being sponsored by Capital Magazine and Macquarie Telecom for an emerging artist and an established artist respectively.
CAPO’s long-standing Rosalie Gascoigne Memorial Award is partly sponsored by Bates & Pickering.
As is usual, the winners will be announced at CAPO’s annual fundraising Gala Art Auction and party, held this year at the Canberra Museum and Gallery on November 7.
