A wild pig that bit a woman on Mt Jerrabomberra has been trapped and euthanised.
The woman was bitten by the pig after her dog followed the scent of the pig and she tried to protect the dog from being attacked.
Queanbeyan City Council has had a contractor looking for the pig since last month, with cameras and traps placed on the mountain, which is a popular recreation spot for Queanbeyan residents.
The pig was found in a cage trap on Sunday.
Queanbeyan Council reminds everyone that Mt Jerrabomberra is not an area where dogs are allowed to be off leash and has asked residents to contact Council if there are any more sightings of feral pigs.
