The Royal couple will be based at Government House from April 20, with public appearances here on April 24 and 25.
“I’m delighted that we will have the opportunity to welcome The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canberra as part of their visit – the first visit to Australia for both The Duchess and, of course, for Prince George,” the Chief Minister said.
While they are in Canberra, The Duke and Duchess will view artworks at the National Portrait Gallery, attend the Anzac Day March and Commemorative Service at the Australian War Memorial, and have the opportunity to meet young people and community leaders.
They will also plant a Royal Oak tree (Quercus robur) at the Pod Playground of the National Arboretum.
“While details about where Canberrans can catch a glimpse of the visiting Royals are yet to be finalised, I am sure that many thousands of people will turn out to help make their visit a memorable one.”
The Royal couple will also visit Sydney, The Blue Mountains, Brisbane, Uluru and Adelaide.
