CANBERRA Glassworks is calling on all young artists 18 – 30 years to apply for the 2015 Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society Young Arts Award.
The award allows access to the Canberra Glassworks facility to the value of $1000. This program is aimed to support the development of the artists’ practice. Previous winners include Laura Sandoval (2014), Annette Blair (2013) and Melinda Willis (2012).
Projects that could be supported through the ADFAs award include developing a production line, creating new exhibition work, researching and developing a new technical process or participating in a professional workshop.
The successful applicant will have 12 months from date of notification to use the grant. On completion of the project the recipient is required to give a presentation to ADFAS and provide a one page report describing the project, its outcomes and achievements.
