ACT Policing yesterday (10 July) arrested a 27-year-old Gordon man wanted on a First Instant Warrant.
The 27-year-old man was wanted on a First Instance Warrant for failing to appear before court in relation to the disqualification of his driver’s license.
Investigations into the whereabouts of the man led police to a location in Macgregor, and at about 10pm last night (10 July) police located the man.
After seeing police, the man fled on foot, but after a short chase he was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch house.
The man was found in possession of keys to a stolen motor vehicle that was involved in a petrol drive-off at a Woolworths Caltex in Wanniassa earlier that evening.
The stolen motor vehicle was located nearby.
The 27-year-old man will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning charged with driving a stolen motor vehicle, make off without payment and driving whilst disqualified.
