A MAN threatened staff with a knife at the Statesman Hotel drive-through bottle shop last night at around 9 o’clock.
Staff complied with his demands for cash and cigarettes and the offender stuffed the proceeds into a pink, reusable shopping bag.
He then fled towards Theodore Street, leaving the area in the front passenger seat of a silver Ford Falcon sedan heading towards Cotter Road.
The man was described as being about 5’7” (170cm) tall, of a slim-to-medium build, wearing a grey, hooded trench coat, blue jeans, light coloured shoes, gloves and a black balaclava.
