“This has been one stunning season!” says Paul Jurak, and he should know.
Paul is the “Kayakcameraman” who most mornings paddles Lake Burley Griffin in his kayak just as dawn breaks and has built an astonishing catalogue of photos that capture the lake and the life around it.
Here has shared with citynews.com.au readers a look at autumn.
“As we farewell autumn in Canberra we can reflect on what makes it so appealing,” he says.
“A kaleidoscope of colour, crystal skies and cool crisp mornings are just some of the reasons we love this time of year. The conditions have been perfect to enjoy all that Canberra has on offer from the opening of the balloon festival to the first sign of frost.
“While winter has kicked off with a chilly start we are still seeing traces of autumn, especially along the foreshore where the ornamental pears are still on display.”
