THERE’s a message for us all in the new exhibition called “Cycle Culture” that has recently been installed in the Canberra Centre. Just wander around and you’ll see it.
The exhibition features works from a series of local artists including Luke Chiswell, Megan Jackson, Charlie Kilmartin and Alison Jackson, who have all created tributes to the modern bicycle.
The exhibition, as readers may guess, is designed to be a celebration of Canberra’s love for the cycling culture.
It’s a nice irony that it sits beneath an elaborate carpark system where Canberra’s other great love affair – with the car- takes place.
“Cycle Culture” runs until the end of July.
