ANU has gifted YouTube this year’s Sir Roland Wilson Oration
In this lecture delivered by the Hon John Howard OM, AC the former Prime Minister discusses the role of the public service in Australian government and how it works responsively with the popularly-elected government, serving as advisors and implementers of government policy. But now, nearly fifty years after the retirement of Australia’s longest-serving prime minister, politicians and public servants can benefit from guidance on their relationships of shared responsibility in the ideal governance framework.
