ACT Policing seized a firearm and drugs during the search of a vehicle in Dickson yesterday (Wednesday, April 8).
About 4.50pm, police attended the Dickson Swimming Pool car park, following information obtained through police enquiries regarding an illicit firearm. Police conducted an emergency Drug of Dependence Act search on the two vehicles in the car park and seized a Bruni handgun within a sports bag in one of the vehicles and a number of tablets suspected to be ecstasy.
Two men were taken into police custody during the search and later released without charge.
Police investigations are ongoing.

UPDATE: ACT Policing have confirmed the weapon seized is a converted blank gun.
