‘COFFEE and Cake with a Cause’ is on tomorrow with not just one, but three causes.
Canberra International Music Festival supporter, Anna Prosser, is turning on a garden (or indoors if it rains) event at which pre-loved items (trash and treasure) will be sold at bargain prices – clothing, glassware, ornaments, antiques, jewellery, china, books, small electrical, artefacts and paintings will be sold.
Prosser says you can drop in, stay, buy, and chat while sipping coffee and eating cake for a gold coin donation.
The proceeds will be divided between Canberra International Music Festival and Mahboba’s Promise, a donation will also be made to Gawad Kalinga (Australia).
As well, the Music Festival needs more volunteers before training sessions begin in April. Roles could include billeting artists, or working Front of House, as a driver, on the Festival Bar, or behind the scenes at concerts.
‘COFFEE and Cake with a Cause’, 22 Dampier Crescent, Forrest in the garden if fine, indoors if not, 10-1pm & 2-5pm (or later by appointment) Thursday, March 19.
