The fire is under control.

No damage to the museum but some damage to the roof of the carriage.

Crews were notified following an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 1.24pm.

Two Fire Pumpers, one Compressed Air Foam System Tanker, the Breathing Apparatus Van, the Hazard Materials Unit and one Commander is on scene.

There are no injuries.

Early investigations suggest the fire started following workman welding in the carriage.
