BRENDAN Smyth says Joy Burch needs to explain why the culture review into the ACT Ambulance Service still hasn’t been released.
“It needs to be released to ensure lessons can be learnt and the culture in the Service improves,” Brendan said.
“Simon Corbell announced this review in October 2013 following a raft of complaints about bullying and harassment and allegations of a toxic culture inside the Service. A year and half later it still hasn’t seen the light of day. What is the new Minister Joy Burch hiding here? Let’s get it out to clear the air.
“The report needs to be released publicly and the recommendations need to be adopted so we can improve the culture inside the Ambulance Service.
“The goalposts on the release of the review have continued to shift. Most recently we were told the review would be released in December, but it’s now March 2015 and the report is still under wraps.
“I call on Joy Burch to release the review and to demonstrate that she takes issues of bullying and harassment seriously,” Mr Smyth concluded.
