TWO months out from the 2015 You Are Here (YAH) festival kicking off they’ve received an EventsACT grant, to the tune of $25,000, to assist with marketing and evaluation of the festival.

The grant will enable YAH to undertake targeted communication activities to ensure outreach to diverse audiences for the festival, as well as completing a rigorous evaluation of the programming.

“We’re excited to see how this grant can help us facilitate even more engagement with the festival this year,” YAH Producer Vanessa Wright said.

“We’ve got a great line-up of artists locked in for March, so we’re confident that the festival will offer something unique and enticing for everyone.’

YAH will take place from 18-22 March, in locations across Civic. The festival will draw together over 100 artists for a range of innovative, experimental arts events including theatre, dance, music, writing, spoken word and visual arts.

The festival has managed to draw the ire this year of the global climate change denial industry for the promised play “Kill Climate Deniers” which prompted the local Liberal Brendan Smyth to ape the pre-written parody.
