THE NRMA-ACT Road Safety Trust is making its final call for applications for grants to support road safety projects for its 2015 grants program in the ACT and region.
A decision was made in December to wind-down the Trust, but funds are available to support a final round of grants.
There are no specific priority topics, funding limits, or limit on the number of applications an applicant can submit for this round. However all applications should be well developed and justified, and clearly demonstrate the potential to produce a road safety benefit in the ACT and region, in particular with some relevance to the ACT Road Safety Strategy.
Potential applicants should also note that, due to the winding down of the Trust, applicants should plan to complete their projects by the middle of 2016.
Trust Chair, Professor Don Aitkin, encouraged any interested individual or organisation to contribute to ACT and region road safety by submitting an application to the Trust. The Trust has allocated over $20 million to over 400 innovative road safety projects since its inception in 1992.
With the final application round for the Trust now open, this was an opportunity to make the final round of applications the best ever!
The Trust’s on-line application form and guidelines for applicants are available from the Trust’s website at www.roadsafetytrust.org.au. Applications close on Wednesday 11 March 2015.
