assault1. Police released video of a Civic assault. It’s one big punch: The Academy night club provided 2014’s greatest hit, at least of the ones caught on CCTV.

trampoline2. Australia’s largest trampoline centre opens in Hume: Every day since we published the story a steady stream of parents came to find out what the Flip Out trampoline centre was all about. Notably, more interest arose on rainy days.

pig3. Human body found in Jerrabomberra Creek: First they said it was a human body, then a pig in a tarp. Then it turned out the pig was wearing army boots, which in many ways was more disturbing.

4. Civic to get a bar dedicated to computer games: A dedicated bar opening for nerds on Northbourne Avenue was very popular on the internet. This should not be an enormous surprise. The story was a steady burner for weeks. The “Reload” bar is now open for business in the evenings.

5. Measles in Charnwood and at Calvary. Were you exposed?: A measles outbreak at Calvary Hospital and a Charnwood church had parents all over Canberra getting excited.
