THARWA Drive, from its roundabout intersection with Drakeford Drive through to Mentone View, will be closed January 5-26 while a new sewer main pipe is connected to the new South Tuggeranong Fire & Rescue station.
“The building of the new emergency services facility on the corner of Drakeford Drive and Tharwa Road is at an advanced stage and is on schedule to be completed in March 2015,” says ACT Emergency Services Commissioner Dominic Lane.“The works have been intentionally scheduled at this very quiet time of year to cause the least amount of disruption to the community.”
The ACT Government allocated $17.360million in the 2013/14 Budget for the construction of a new Fire & Rescue station in South Tuggeranong as the next major step in rolling out the ESA Station Relocation and Upgrade Strategy.
