CANBERRA’S City Walk is once again adorned by magnificent camels offering free rides to get in the Christmas spirit.
Canberra CBD Limited promised the rides are fun for all ages, and that the seating is very comfortable and even suitable for lunchtime workers in office attire.
“We’re so excited to welcome back the Camels this year; they’re very popular amongst all visitors to the City, not just the children!” said the CEO of Canberra CBD Limited, Jane Easthope.
The camels will be walking to Akuna Street and back, from 1PM to 7 PM from Friday 12 December to Sunday 21 December.
Today also marks the beginning of the Music and Entertainment Hub within the City, with musicians, musical instruments, roving entertainers and more.
A street piano will be in City Walk for anyone to play and enjoy.
Due to the popularity of the world record breaking SIDS & Kids ACT Christmas Lights from this Saturday December 13 the lights will open from midday every day through to New Year’s Eve! Even Santa’s excited – he’ll be visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 3pm.
