CHIEF Minister Andrew Barr (take a second to let that sink in) has announced new Ministerial responsibilities in the wake of Katy Gallagher’s departure from the Legislative Assembly.
Andrew Barr
Treasurer, Minister for Economic Development, Minister for Housing, and Minister for Tourism and Events.
Additionally: responsibility for the Asbestos Response Taskforce.
Simon Corbell
Deputy Chief Minister, Attorney-General, Minister for Capital Metro, and Minister for the Environment.
Additionally: Minister for Health.
Joy Burch
Minister for Education and Training, Minister for Disability, Minister for the Arts, Minister for Women, Minister for Multicultural Affairs, and Minister for Racing and Gaming.
Additionally: Minister for Police and Emergency Services.
Shane Rattenbury
Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, and Minister for Sport and Recreation.
Additionally: Minister for Justice (incorporating responsibilities for Corrective Services).
Mick Gentleman
Minister for Planning, Minister for Community Services, Minister for Workplace Safety and Industrial Relations, Minister for Children and Young People, and Minister for Ageing.
With a ministerial slot left open one has to speculate that Andrew is waiting for his Chief of Staff Meegan Fitzharris to fill Katy Gallagher’s casual vacancy before undertaking a full reshuffle.
