THIS October ACT Labor will be holding its first ever members’ ballot for the position of Party President.
This will be ACT Labor’s largest election ever held by ACT Labor with nearly 1,000 members eligible to vote.
A letter has been posted the members informing them of their eligibility to vote in the ballot.
The four nominees for President of the ACT Labor Party are:
- Louise Crossman
- John Kilcullen
- Tom McMahon
- Jen Newman
Senator Kate Lundy will be chairing a Candidates forum. The forum will be held on the evening of Wednesday 15 October at the Griffin Centre.
Information about each of the Candidates can be found online.
There will be two rounds of voting:
- Saturday October 18 at the Belconnen Labor Club: 11:00am – 1.30pm
- Saturday October 25 at the Southern Cross Club, Woden: 12:30pm – 3:00pm
Members will be required to bring their membership card and photographic identification. Those unable to attend one of the voting times may request a postal vote by emailing the General Returning Officer GRO@act.alp.org.au .
