THIRTY five personnel from the ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Emergency Services were sent yesterday to help battle bushfires in the Wagga Wagga region.
Two specialists from the Emergency Services Mapping and Planning Support Volunteer team were also deployed to Wagga Wagga this morning after the New South Wales Rural Fire Service formally requested additional support.
The personnel are reported to be in “high spirits” and will return to the ACT later this week.
